The owners of this gorgeous Semiahmoo home called Theater Design when they wanted a media room designed that would elevate the entertainment experience in their bonus room. The existing space presented a challenge to integrate 5.2 surround, a large format 3D video display, seating for 4, popcorn machine and even a beverage cooler in a sensible design that was beautiful too. What was once an outgrown playroom for the kids with an analog standard def armoire TV is transformed into a fully integrated theater environment with excellent audio/video quality for the whole family to enjoy. The end result is an great example of what a well-thought design can bring to a difficult room.
One of the space saving features are the line array dual heavy duty subwoofers concealed behind the seating rows. The tight tolerance entertainment center we designed packs an incredible amount of features/equipment into a beautiful design that only takes up 18″ of floor space. The cabinetry contains wire management, a cubby for Xbox Kinect + networking gear, rack mounted AV gear with optional thermostatic cooling, left/center/right THX Select speakers installed in optimal positions, a built in beverage cooler, 65″ plasma display and BluRay/accessory storage. The before and after pictures show a nice transformation.
