A custom projection theater for a great condo space on Capitol Hill in Seattle. The client wanted hi def surround performance in a design that wasn’t too visually obtrusive. Using the client’s Epson Pro Cinema 800 projector and X Box for gaming/media play we spec’d a Vutech 110″ 16:9 screen, the maximum THX recommended size. The popular Onkyo TX-SR 606 receiver is paired with the compact, elegant and powerful Pinnacle BD 500 series speakers in 5.1 surround. A tiny 350w Pinnacle Subsonic slams out big LFE sound while using only 10″ X 10″ of floor space. All wall penetrations were carefully treated with acoustic sealant to minimize sound transmission. And the sub calibration was integrated for perfectly smooth/flat response that minimizes bass boom in the neighboring dwellings.
