Vashon Island Turnkey Projection Theater/Media Room

Project Overview

Theater Design Northwest was contracted to design and build this great 7.1 3D capable projection theater for our client’s new home in Vashon Island. When we looked at the room, it had been a media type space before with outdated video resolution capability and Speakercraft ceiling surround speakers installed in all the wrong places! The clients hated the design, color and decor. Clean and contemporary is what they wanted , with a definite budget number they wanted to spend.

The clients eventually approved a screenwall projection design with all gear and the L/C/R speakers hidden behind fabric for the movie theater feel. Although not our first choice, the Speakercrafts needed to be repurposed for the budget so we moved them for optimal performance and patched/textured the old cutouts. A skilled local craftsman repainted the space to client taste for them. The resulting theater is a total room makeover appearance wise, in addition to all the fun they can have in there with movies, music and gaming. A custom arched/straight row of Bell’O leather seating provided by us is the perfect shape to seat 4 in this room. Pix coming soon……
